The Coast Guard dispatched pollution responders, who with the assistance of the Tug Island Boy, determined the sheen was coming from the submerged 52-foot motor yacht Oyob.
Coast Guard officials estimate that no more than 55-gallons of fuel were on board the motor yacht at the time it sank. Officials believe the clean-up will be completed by this weekend.
The maritime public is asked to monitor VHF-Channel 16 for continued updates.
